This petition is filed for the following amendments: i. to amend and incorporate the name of State of Bank of India in place of State Bank of Bikaner and Jaipur, wherever it appears in the memorandum of appeal.

ii. the long and short cause title and plaintiff details may please be ordered to be amended and modified as under:

"State Bank of India, A body corporate constituted under the provisions of The Sate Bank of India Act, 1955 (23 of 1955) and the successor to the State Bank of Bikaner and Jaipur under the Acquisition of State Bank of Bikaner and Jaipur Order No.G.S.R.156(E) dated 22nd February, 2017 passed by the Central Government under Section 35 of the State Bank of India Act, 1955 (23 of 1955) through the Branch Manager and having Luz Branch, No.164, Kutchery Road, Mylapore, Chennai - 600 004."

2.The learned counsel for the respondents did not raise any serious objection and this Court is satisfied with the reasons assigned in the affidavit filed in support of this petition. Hence, this petition is allowed. 1/3

3.The Registry is directed to carryout necessary amendments in the Second Appeal No.123 of 2006 and list the matter after four weeks. 20.10.2021 mtl/ham 2/3
