O R D E R

This writ petition has been filed for the issue of a writ of mandamus directing the respondent to act upon the application submitted by the petitioner on 03.10.2020, wherein the petitioner has sought for electricity connection for domestic purpose with regard to the subject property.

2. Heard Mr.S.Ilamvaludhi, learned counsel

appearing for the petitioner and Mr.Dhilip Kumar, learned Standing counsel for the respondent.

3. It is seen from records that the petitioner had purchased the property by way of a register sale deed dated 09.05.2012. Further case of the petitioner is that the patta has also been issued in favour of the petitioner in Patta No.8154. The petitioner submitted the application to the respondent seeking for electricity connection for domestic purpose. Since the same was not considered, the present writ petition has been filed before this Court seeking for appropriate directions.

4. Taking into consideration the facts and circumstances of the case and the limited relief sought for in this writ petition, there shall be a direction to the respondent to act upon the application submitted by the petitioner on 03.10.2020 and deal with the same strictly in accordance with law and and take a decision within a period of two weeks from the date of the receipt of a copy of this order. The petitioner is directed to make a fresh representation to the respondent along with all the relevant documents and also a copy of this order. This writ petition is disposed of with the above directions. No costs. Connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
