PRAYER :

Writ Petition filed Under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying to issue a writ of mandamus directing the respondents 1 to 6 to take action against the 7th respondent for his illegal activities in managing and administration of the Sri Muthumariamman Koil and to ensure conducting peaceful festival with all people belonging to all Karai in the year 2014 as scheduled in Sri Muthumariamman Koil situated at Thesavilakku, Omalur Taluk, Salem District.

O R D E R

The relief sought for in the present writ petition is to direct the respondents 1 to 6 to take action against the 7th respondent for his illegal activities in managing and administration of the Sri Muthumariamman Koil and to ensure conducting peaceful festival with all people belonging to all Karai in the year 2014 as scheduled in Sri Muthumariamman Koil situated at Thesavilakku, Omalur Taluk, Salem District. 2.The learned Government counsel appearing on behalf of the respondents made a submission that in respect of the festival conducted in the year 2014, it was conducted peacefully and after 2016, the festivals are being conducted peacefully by the authority with the co-operation of the people of that locality. 3.This being the factual position, no further adjudication is required. Hence, the writ petition stands disposed of. No costs. Consequently, the connected miscellaneous petitions are closed.
