ORDER
[Order of the Court was made by V.SIVAGNANAM, J.] Seeking a direction to the respondents to produce the body and person of the detenue by name Divyadharshini, D/o.Kumaravelu, aged about 19 years, before this Court and to set her at liberty, the present habeas corpus petition has been filed.
2.It is the case of the petitioner that his daughter Divyadharshini, aged about 19 years, went missing from 16.04.2019 and that the police are not taking effective steps to secure her.

3.On instructions, learned Additional Public Prosecutor submitted that on the complaint given by the petitioner, a case in N1 Royapuram Police Station Crime No.301 of 2019 for girl missing was registered on 17.04.2019.
4.In this case, the police have filed status reports detailing the steps that have been taken to secure the petitioner's daughter. This Court also directed the Deputy Commissioner of Police to monitor the investigation. From the status report we find that the petitioner's daughter is not in the illegal custody of anyone and that she left the home on account certain personal issues. Hence this habeas corpus petition stands closed with a direction to the police to proceed with the investigation in N1 Royapuram Police Station Crime No.301 of 2019 and keep the petitioner informed of the developments, if any. As and when the detenue is secured, she may be produced before the XVI Metropolitan Magistrate, George Town, Chennai, under intimation to the petitioner and the learned Magistrate shall pass appropriate orders with regard to the custody.
