The prayer sought for in this writ petition is to direct the learned Metropolitan Magistrate CCB & CBCID Cases Court (Exclusive Trial Metro Cases) Allikulam Complex, Chennai - 600 003 to conclude and dispose the Calendar case in C.C.No.8003 of 2007 in accordance with law within time frame.

2. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondent.

3. In view of the limited prayer sought for and also taking into account of the fact that the case is pending from 2007 onwards, it would be appropriate to direct the trial court to expedite the proceedings.

Accordingly, the Criminal Original Petition stands allowed and the learned Metropolitan Magistrate CCB & CBCID Court (Metro Cases) Allikulam Complex, Chennai is directed to expedite the proceedings in C.C.No.8003 of 2007 and dispose the same in any case within a period of six months from the date of the receipt of a copy of this Order.
