This writ petition has been filed, challenging the Order dated 18.11.2013 passed by the 1st respondent/I Additional Labour Court, Chennai in Claim Petition No.325 of 2012.
2. When the matter was previously taken up for hearing, this Court suggested to the Management to pay a sum of Rs.10,000/- over and above what has been deposited before the Labour Court, as a pre-condition for the grant of interim order, as the claim of the Workman was Rs.75,000/- only.

Today, learned counsel for the Management represented that the Management has agreed to pay the sum as suggested by this Court on the previous hearing and also produced a cheque for Rs.10,000/- bearing No.761783 dated 26.06.2021 drawn in favour of the Workman. Learned counsel further represented that the Management has no objection in paying the said sum and that the Workman can also withdraw the amount lying in deposit before the Labour Court together with accrued interest.
4. Mr.Ravi, learned counsel appearing for the Workman submitted that the Workman is willing for a settlement and consented for the terms suggested by this Court and the Management.
5. Taking note of the submissions on either side, it is directed that the Labour Court, on production of a copy of this order, shall release the sum lying in deposit together with accrued interest, within a period of three weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order and that the counsel for the Management is permitted to hand over the cheque of Rs.10,000/- (Rupees Ten Thousand Only), which is over and above the amount already deposited. It is made clear that the Workman and Management hereinafter have no claim whatsoever against each other in respect of the present issues raised by them.
6. In view of the amicable settlement between the parties, the writ petition is disposed of with the above direction. No costs.
