Respondent Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for issuance of Writ of Mandamus directing the respondent to restrain from providing any information to third parties about the period of service of the petitioner unless requested by the police with proper warrant or through a court order for legal reasons and any failure on the part of the institution to follow these due legal procedures will make the institution liable for damages depending on the extent of damages.

O R D E R

This writ petition is filed seeking direction to restrain the respondent from providing any information to third parties about the period of service of the petitioner, unless requested following due process of law.

2.Though this writ petition is filed by the petitioner in person, he has not entered appearance, even for a hearing. 3.The learned Counsel appearing for the respondent University would submit that if any application submitted by third parties under the Right To Information Act, 2005 (for brevity "Act") seeking information about the petitioner, the same would be considered by the respondent University only after providing an opportunity to the petitioner. He further submitted that if the information sought is covered under the Act, the respondent University shall furnish the same and there will be protection regarding the nature of information sought. 4.Recording the above submission, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case, this Court directs the https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

respondent University to consider the application, if any received under the Act, shall furnish the details of the petitioner strictly under the provisions of the Act, if he is entitled under the Act.

The Writ Petition is disposed of, with the above direction. No costs.
