ORDER

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed seeking a direction to the respondents police to register an FIR on the complaint dated 04.05.2016 given by the petitioner and to investigate the same.

2. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondents.

3. It is seen that this petitioner had given a complaint to the Superintendent of Police, Anti Land Grabbing Cell, Vellore, and to the Inspector of Police, Katpadi Police Station, Vellore, by post.

4. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor submitted that the Inspector of Police, Katpadi Police Station, Vellore, has been closed on 13.08.2016 as civil in nature. However, the complaint given by the petitioner to the Anti Land Grabbing Cell, Vellore, is pending enquiry.

5. Under such circumstances, the petitioner is directed to go in person and lodge a complaint before the Inspector of Police, Anti Land Grabbing Cell, Vellore. The Inspector of Police, Anti Land Grabbing Cell, Vellore, is directed to expeditiously conduct an enquiry in accordance with law, either register an FIR or close the case under intimation to the petitioner.

With the above direction, this Criminal Original Petition is closed.
