O R D E R

This writ petition has been filed for issue of writ of mandamus directing the respondents to consider the representation made by the petitioners dated 10.08.2021 wherein the petitioners are objecting to the construction of the library in the subject property belonging to the petitioners. 2.When the matter was taken up for hearing, the learned Standing Counsel appearing on behalf of the Chennai Corporation based on instructions submitted that the Corporation has nothing to do with the demolition of the existing library or the reconstruction of a new library. The learned Standing Counsel submitted that the public library comes only within the jurisdiction of Public Works Department and therefore, if at all the petitioners have any grievance, the petitioners should have addressed the representation only to the Public Works Department and not to the Corporation.

3.Recording the submissions made by the learned Standing Counsel for the respondents, this writ petition is closed and if at all the petitioners have any grievance against any other authority, the petitioners have to workout their remedy strictly in accordance with law. No Costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
