The petitioner who apprehends arrest at the hands of the respondent police for the offences punishable under Section 6(4) of TNSC (RDCS) Order 1982 r/w 7(1)(a)(ii) of E.C. Act in Crime No. 92 of 2022, seeks anticipatory bail.

2. The case of the prosecution is that the petitioner was found in possession of 19800 Kgs of PDS rice in his vehicle bearing No.TN 33 AK 9942. Hence, the case.

3. The petitioner was in possession of huge quantity of PDS Rice, therefore, custodial interrogation of the petitioner is very much required.
