When the matter was taken up for hearing, it was brought to the notice of this Court that the appellant in this case, namely S.R.Nagarajan had passed away. By an order dated 15.11.2024, this Court recorded the same and directed the respondent to ascertain the said facts. The matter has since been adjourned. Today, it is made clear that the said person has since passed away.
2. In view thereof, Criminal Appeal No. 55 of 2014 is dismissed as having abated. No costs.
