ORDER

Heard Mr.P.Vasanth, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr.S.Diwakar, learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondent and with their consent, the writ petition is disposed of at the admission stage itself.

The petitioner seeks for a direction to the respondent to pass orders on the appeal petition filed by the petitioner claiming enhanced compensation for the lands acquired from the petitioner for the National Highways project. The appeal petition was entertained by the respondent and the hearing date was fixed on 07.04.2015. The petitioner is said to have appeared and produced all the documents in support of his claim. Requisitioning Body has also made their submissions before the respondent and it is stated that they have also filed their written statements and the respondent has reserved orders on 26.05.2015. The petitioner's grievance is that till date, orders have not been passed in the appeal petition, when his neighbouring land owners have been given the enhanced compensation.

Learned Additional Government Pleader submitted that if orders are not already been passed, reasonable time may be granted to the respondent to pass orders in the appeal petition. In the light of the above, without going into the merits of the petitioner's claim, there will be a direction to the respondent to pass final orders on the appeal petition, which is said to have been heard and orders reserved, as expeditiously as possible and preferably, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. The writ petition is disposed of with the above direction. No costs.
