Respondents Writ petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for a writ of mandamus to direct the respondents 2 to 5 herein to consider the representation dated 28.10.2015 and dispose of the writ petition.

ORDER

Heard Mr.S.Gopi, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr.P.R.Dhilip Kumar, learned counsel accepting notice for the respondent 1 to 5 and with their consent, the writ petition is disposed of at the admission stage itself.

The petitioner seeks direction upon the respondents 2 to 5 to consider the representation dated 28.10.2015, wherein the petitioner seeks for shifting of the poles which has been erected for the purpose of locating transformer. In the representation, the only grievance expressed by the petitioner is that there are chances of fire accident if the transformer is located near the petitioner's property. In my view, the said reason would not be tenable because for the purpose of granting electricity connection, transformers are bound to be located in road margins and while doing so, the Electricity Board, will, undoubtedly take all precautions. Therefore, this Court is not inclined to issue any direction to the authorities to do their functions in a particular manner. Hence, while declining to grant the relief sought for by the petitioner, liberty is granted to the petitioner to pursue her representation before the authorities, if so advised. The writ petitions is dismissed. No costs.
