The petitioner/defacto complainant has preferred the Criminal Revision against the order of acquittal passed by the learned Judicial Magistrate No.1, Dharmapuri in C.C.No.101 of 2012, dated 11.11.2013.

2. The petitioner/defacto complainant preferred a complaint against 1st respondent for offence punishable under Section 4 of Tamil Nadu Prohibition of Woman Harassment Act. The learned trial Judge, after full fledged trial, acquitted the accused by a well reasoned order. As against the same, the petitioner has come forward with this petition.

3. As against the judgment of acquittal appeal lies before the Sessions Court as per amended Act. Therefore, this Revision https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

does not lie before this Court, accordingly it is disposed of. However, if the petitioner wants to file an appeal before the Sessions Court, she can file. The period spent for this revision is exempted for the purpose of limitation.
