PRAYER : Writ Petition filed Under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying to issue a writ of certiorari, calling for the records of the 1st respondent pursuant to its proceedings in Case No.40744 (6224) Ma.Tha.Tha.AA/2013 dated 17.12.2013 and quash the same as invalid and illegal. O R D E R

The relief sought for in the present writ petition is to quash the proceedings of the 1st respondent, in Case No.40744 (6224) Ma.Tha.Tha.AA/2013 dated 17.12.2013.

2. It is not in dispute that the information sought for by the petitioner has already been furnished.

3. The learned counsel appearing on behalf of the State Information Commission made a submission that under the provisions of Section 2(j) of the Right to Information Act, 2005 the petitioner is entitled to give certified copies of the documents.

4. Therefore, if the certified copies of the documents/information, were already provided, no further action is required. If not, the 3rd respondent is directed to provide the certified copies of the documents/information, within a period of twelve (12) weeks, by following the procedures as contemplated under the Act. The petitioner is at liberty to approach the 3rd respondent if he has not received the certified copies of the documents / information.

5. With these directions, the writ petition stands disposed of. No costs. Consequently, the connected miscellaneous petitions are closed.
