This petition has been filed to enlarge the petitioner on bail in CC No. 33 of 2018 on the file of the I Additional Special judge for NDPS Cases, Chennai.
2. The case of the prosecution is that on 15.06.2017, the respondent conducted search at M/s. JSM Warehouse, Sothupakkam Road, Budhur Village, Budhur Road, Red Hills, Chennai, in the presence two witnesses. During the search the respondent found 3.065 kgs of Methamphetamine and 1.305 kgs of Ephedrine. Hence, the case.
3. The learned counsel for the petitioners submit that the petitioners are languishing in jail from the year 2017. Hence, he prays to allow this petition.
4. The learned Special Public Prosecutor submits that the petitioners were involved in the manufacturing of the psychotropic substances in the said warehouse. Further, the respondent seized two cars and a sum of Rs.4 lakhs from the said premises and the first petitioner
herein in his voluntary statement stated that he had worked at drug manufacturing factory and Malaysia run by one Shri Christy and there he came in contact with one Shri Ameer, who requested him to come to India and work at his factory in India under the name and style of M/s. JSM Warehouse, Redhills, Chennai and the said Ameer offere his a monthly remuneration of Rs.1 lakh and he had managed the entire process of manufacturing activity and he has given 180 kgs of Narcotic drugs so far. Thereby, the petitioners admitted their role in manufacturing the drugs and other accused were also knowingfully involved in the said offence. Hence, he raised objection to grant bail.
5. Considering the fact that the contraband seized from the petitioners is commercial quantity and also they were involved in manufacturing the narcotic drug. Hence, this Court is not inclined to allow this petition. The Trial Court is directed to complete the Trial within a period of three months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
