Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India to issue a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents herein to consider the application made by the petitioner on 07.05.2018 for transfer at the request of the petitioner as Office Assistant at Bargur Panchayat Union or any other Panchayat Union in Krishnagiri District where there is a vacancy in the post of Office Assistant exists.

The petitioner has filed this writ petition seeking issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents herein to consider the application made by the petitioner on 07.05.2018

for transfer at the request of the petitioner as Office Assistant at Bargur Panchayat Union or any other Panchayat Union in Krishnagiri District where there is a vacancy in the post of Office Assistant exists.

2.Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents.

3.The petitioner made representation for transfer to Panchayat Union at Krishnagiri District on 07.05.2018. However, till date the petitioner's representation was not considered. Hence, this writ petition.

4.The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that without going into the merits of the case, it would suffice, if this Court issues direction to the respondents to consider the petitioner's representation dated 07.05.2018 and to pass appropriate orders, within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

5.Considering the limited request made by the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner, I am inclined to issue direction to the respondents to consider the petitioner's representation dated 07.05.2018, on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
