The Member Secretary, Chennai Metropolitan Development Authority, No.8, Gandhi Irwin Road, Egmore, Chennai:600 008, to issue and register a Sale Deed in favour of the petitioner for Shop No.T/C/85 in the Fruit Market in Koyambedu Wholesale Market,Complex, Koyambedu, Chennai on the basis of the allotment order issued by the respondent in Lr.No.K5/6420/99 dated 26.11.1999.

By consent of the learned counsel on either side, the writ petition is taken up for final disposal.

2. Heard Mr.J.Ram , learned Counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mr.K.Raja Srinivas, learned Counsel appearing for the respondent.

3.The petitioner seeks for issuance of a writ of mandamus to direct the respondent to issue and register a Sale Deed in his favour for Shop No.T/C/85 in the Fruit Market in Koyambedu Wholesale Market, Koyambedu, Chennai on the basis of the allotment order issued by the respondent in Lr.No.K5/6420/99 dated 26.11.1999.

4.The respondent vide letter dated 10.09.2015, directed the petitioner to appear before him along with original documents/ original receipts / Ration Card/ Voter Identification Card for verification of documents for issuance of Sale Deed. Accordingly, the petitioner submitted a representation on 22.09.2015 along copies of all the documents and he expressed his readiness to produce the original documents for verification.

5.The learned counsel for the respondent submitted that if the petitioner appears with documents in original, copies of which has already been submitted along with the representation dated 22.09.2015, the respondent will consider the same and execute the Sale Deed in favour of the petitioner, within the shortest possible time.

6.In the light of the stand taken by the respondent, petitioner is directed to appear before the respondent on any working day during first week of December 2015 and produce the original documents to the satisfaction of the respondent, who shall consider and execute the sale deed in favour of the petitioner, within a period of four weeks thereafter. The Writ Petition is disposed of accordingly.
