ORDER

This Writ Petition has been filed to direct the 2nd respondent to consider and dispose of the petitioner's appeal dated 09.07.2025.

2. The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that in this case, the Sub-Registrar referred the document filed by the petitioner under Section 33 of the Indian Stamp Act, treating the property as that of a partnership firm, leading to a demand of deficit stamp duty payable by the petitioner. Against the said order, the appeal preferred by the petitioner before the District Registrar has been rejected. Aggrieved by the same, the petitioner preferred a statutory appeal before the Inspector General of Registration. Since the same was kept pending without any order passed, the present writ petition is filed.

3. In reply, the learned Government Counsel appearing for the respondents would submit that the petitioner's appeal dated 09.07.2025 will be disposed of by the 1st respondent within a period of eight weeks.

4. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioners and the learned Government Counsel for the respondents and also perused the materials available on record.

5. In view of the above, this Court directs the 1st respondent to consider the petitioner's appeal dated 09.07.2025 on its own merits and dispose of the same in accordance with law within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this order.
