..Respondents Prayer : Writ Petition (Criminal) filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying to issue a Writ of Mandamus, to direct the 1st respondent to forthwith instruct the 5th respondent to conduct a detailed enquiry on the complaint dated 27.03.2026 submitted by the petitioner, and upon such enquiry, to take appropriate action in accordance with law, including investigation into the allegations of forgery and fabrication of the death certificate and legal heir certificate, as well as the fraudulent execution and registration of the Settlement deed dated 15.12.2025, registered as Document No. 9353 of 2024, and to initiate necessary legal proceedings against all persons involved in the said fraudulent acts, and to take consequential steps to prevent any further alienation or certain of third party rights in respect of the subject property, namely, the vacant land admeasuring an extent of 61 cents, comprised in Survey No.228/4, bearing patta No.638, situated at Madhura Venpurusham Village, Mamallapuram Town Panchayat, Chengalpattu District.

ORDER
This Writ Petition (Criminal) has been filed seeking a direction to the first respondent to forthwith instruct the fifth respondent to conduct a detailed enquiry on the complaint dated 27.03.2026 submitted by the petitioner, and upon such enquiry, to take appropriate action in accordance with law, including investigation into the allegations relating to the forgery and fabrication of the death certificate and legal heir certificate, as well as the fraudulent execution and registration of the Settlement deed dated 15.12.2025, registered as Document No. 9353 of 2024, and to initiate necessary legal proceedings against all persons involved in the said fraudulent acts. The petitioner also sought consequential directions to prevent any further alienation or certain of third party rights in respect of the subject property comprised in Survey No.228/4, Patta No.638, measuring an extent of 61 cents, situated at Madhura Venpurusham Village, Mamallapuram Town Panchayat, Chengalpattu District. 2.
On instruction, the learned Counsel for Government of Tamil Nadu (Criminal Side) appearing for the respondents 1 to 5 submitted that on receipt of the petitioner's complaint, the first respondent forwarded the same to the Inspector of Police, DCB-II, Chengalpattu, which is pending for enquiry.

In view of the above submission, the Inspector of Police, DCB-II, Chengalpattu, is directed to conduct an enquiry on the complaint lodged by the petitioner, after issuing notice to the petitioner and the respondents 6 to 8 herein, and dispose of the same on merits and in accordance with law within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. It is made clear that if any cognizable offence is made out in the complaint lodged by the petitioner, the Inspector of Police, DCB-II, Chengalpattu, is directed to register an FIR and proceed further in accordance with law against the accused. 4.
With the above direction, this Writ Petition (Criminal) stands disposed of. No costs.
