PRAYER:

This petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to issue a writ of Mandamus directing the respondents to consider the petitioner's representation dated 25.09.2015 and alter the petitioner's date of birth as 02.03.1996 instead of 02.07.1995 in all original educational certificates and other etc., based on the birth extract issued by the Ramanathapuram Municipal Corporation within the period stipulated by this Court.

ORDER

The petitioner, after completion of school education, made a representation dated 25.09.2015 to the respondents seeking to correct the date of birth in all the original educational certificates. Though the said representation has been acknowledged by the respondents, no orders have been passed. Therefore the present writ petition has been filed by the petitioner.

2. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondents.

3. Taking note of the pendency of the representation dated 25.09.2015 made by the petitioner, without going into the merits of the case including the jurisdiction of the authorities viz, respondent Nos.1 and 2, respondent Nos. 1 and 2 are directed to consider the representation dated 25.09.2015 made by the petitioner and pass appropriate orders within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of the copy of this order.
