ORDER

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed seeking a direction to the respondent to give police protection by posting appropriate number of police personnels to safeguard the property of the petitioner Company at Plot K1, SIPCOT IT Part, Siruseri, Kanchipuram District.

2. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondent.

3. It is seen that the petitioner has been allotted 104.77 Acres of land by the State Industries Promotion Corporation of Tamil Nadu (SIPCOT) by two sale deeds dated 06.05.2004 and 16.12.2004 and possession of the entire land has also been given to the petitioner on 02.09.2004 and 29.04.2005.

4. While so, on 24.04.2016 one Anand and 15 unknown persons appear to have trespassed into the land and attempted to take possession forcibly. In this regard, the petitioner has filed a suit in O.S.No.93 of 2016 before the Principal District Court, Chengalpat and obtained an order of Interim injunction on 01.06.2016, despite which, it is alleged that the said persons are attempting to dispossess the petitioner.

5. In this regard, the petitioner lodged a complaint to the respondent police, based on which, petition enquiry is pending in CSR No.221 of 2016. Under such circumstances, the respondent police is directed to conduct enquiry in CSR No.221 of 2016 and

give police protection to the petitioner.
