Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying to issue a WRIT OF HABEAS CORPUS to call for the records pursuant to the order passed by the 2nd respondent in C.O.C.No.26/2021 dated 19.07.2021 in TPDA No.9652 dated 25.07.2021 and quash the same and consequently produce the body or person of detenu namely Vaithi @ Vaithiyanathan, aged about 25 years, now confined in Central Prison, Trichy before this Hon'ble Court and set him liberty.

[Order of the Court was made by R.HEMALATHA, J.] The petitioner challenges the impugned order of detention in C.O.C.No.26/2021, dated 19.07.2021, detaining his son as "SAND OFFENDER" under Section 2(gg) of Tamil Nadu Act 14 of 1982.

2. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor submitted that the order of detention passed against the detenu has been revoked by the Government by its order in G.O.Rt.No.3999, Home, Prohibition and Excise (XV) Department, dated 31.08.2021 and he has also produced a copy of the Government Order. Recording the same, this Habeas Corpus Petition stands closed.
