W.M.P.No.16258 of 2023 in W.P.No.7713 of 2023 N.MALA, J.

This petition is filed to direct the first respondent to pay the petitioner Rs.12,870/- being the drawn wages in terms of Section 17 B of the Industrial Disputes Act, 1947, pending disposal of the writ petition.

2.The petitioner has stated in his sworn affidavit that he is not gainfully employed and the same is not denied by the respondents. Even the amount claimed as the last drawn wages is not denied, as the said amount was paid to the petitioner as one month pay for the notice period by the first respondent.

Hence, the first respondent is directed to pay a sum of Rs.12,870/- every month to the petitioner till the disposal of the writ petition. The arrears amount from the date of the writ petition shall be paid to the petitioner within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

3.Accordingly, this petition is ordered.
