This petition is filed under Section 482 Cr.P.C, praying to extend the time for a period of five months to complete the investigation and file a final report in Crime No.143 of 2022 on the file of P6 Kodungaiyur Police Station, as directed by this Court in Crl.RC. No.605 of 2023 dated 30.03.2023.

2. Heard Mr. R. Vinothraja, learned Government Advocate (Crl. side). This Court is satisfied with the reasons assigned in the affidavit filed in support of this petition. Hence, a further period of 6 weeks is granted to the petitioner to complete the investigation and to file a final report in Crime No.143 of 2022 on the file of P6 Kodungaiyur Police Station.

3. The learned Government Advocate contended that since the Revenue Divisional officer, Thiruvottiyur, did not file his report and is prolonging the matter, the Investigating Officer is not able to complete the investigation within the time stipulated by this Court. 1/2

4. The Revenue Divisional Officer, Thiruvottiyur, is directed to submit his report to the concerned Police Station as early as possible to enable the Investigating Officer to conclude the investigation as directed by this Court.
