Respondents Prayer: Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to issue a writ of mandamus, to direct the respondents to change the Patta in respect of survey No.317/1,2,3,5 (Old Survey No.317/A) and New Survey No.317/4,6,7 (Old Survey No.317/B) based on the petitioner's representations dated 16.7.2014, 19.6.2015 and 10.8.2015.

O R D E R

According to the petitioner, he made representations to the 2nd respondent, dated 16.7.2014, 19.6.2015 and 10.8.2015, seeking change in the patta, i.e. from conditional patta to Iyanam patta since there were mistakes said to have been taken place in revenue records during the re-survey proceedings conducted by the second respondent in respect of Survey Nos. 317/1,2,3,5 corresponding to Old Survey No.317/A, Erode Circle, Erode District. As the said representations starting from 16.7.2014, 19.6.2015 and 10.8.2015 have not been disposed of, the present writ petition has been filed.

Considering the facts of the case, without going into the merits of the case, the second respondent is directed to dispose of the representations, dated 16.07.2014, 19.06.2015 and 10.8.2015 made by the petitioner, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order and after affording an opportunity of hearing to the petitioner and third parties if any.
