ORDER
[Order of the Court was made by V.SIVAGNANAM, J.] Seeking a direction to the second respondent to produce the petitioner's daughter Supriya, aged about 19 years, before this Court and to set her at liberty, the present habeas corpus petition has been filed.
2.It is the case of the petitioner that her daughter Supriya, aged about 19 years, went missing from 28.03.2019 and that the police are not taking effective steps to secure her. 3.On instructions, learned Additional Public Prosecutor submitted that on the complaint given by the petitioner, a case in Udumalpet Police Station Crime No.186 of 2019 has been registered for girl missing and in this case, the Inspector of https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/
Police, Udumalpet Police Station and the Deputy Superintendent of Police, Udumalpet Sub Division, Tiruppur District, have filed status reports dated 26.08.2019 and 04.11.2019 detailing the steps that the police are taking for securing Supriya. 4.We find no infirmity in the action that is being taken by the police. It is obvious that Supriya is not in the illegal custody of anyone and on account of some domestic quarrel with her mother, she left the home. Hence this habeas corpus petition stands closed with a direction to the Deputy Superintendent of Police, Udumalpet Sub Division, Tiruppur District, to monitor the investigation in Udumalpet Police Station Crime No.186 of 2019 and keep the petitioner informed of the developments, if any. As and when Supriya is secured, she may be produced before the Judicial Magistrate I, Udumalpet, under intimation to the petitioner and the learned Magistrate shall pass appropriate orders of custody in accordance with law.
