The petitioner has filed the above Writ Petition to issue a Writ of Mandamus directing the 1st respondent to receive his application under Section 27(4) of the Tamil Nadu Electricity Distribution Code and to give new electricity service connection https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

in the petitioner's name with regard to the house bearing Old No.6, New No.19, Ponniamman Koil Street, Adyar, Chennai - 600 020 on the basis of the petitioner's application dated 04.03.2014.

2.When the Writ Petition is taken up for hearing, the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that subsequent to the filing of the Writ Petition, the 1st respondent had provided electricity service connection and therefore, the Writ Petition may be closed.

3.Recording the submission made by the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner, the Writ Petition is closed. No costs. Consequently, the connected miscellaneous petition is also closed.
