Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner. None appeared for the respondent.

2.The respondent herein filed I.A.No.159 of 2014 before the Trial Court in respect of the suit property, invoking Section 9 of the Chennai City Tenants Protection Act, 1921. The Trial Court kept the matter pending. The petitioner is therefore before this Court.

KM 3.The learned Subordinate Judge, Kancheepuram is directed to dispose of the interlocutory application in I.A.No.159 of 2014 in O.S.No.18 of 2014, as expeditiously as possible, and in any event on or before 31 January 2017.
