Prayer : Criminal Original Petition filed under Section 482 of the Code of Criminal Procedure praying to direct 2nd respondent police to accord police protection to the petitioner and his family members to enable them to enjoy the property in Survey No.10/9, 10/10, 15/4E measuring an extent of 10 1⁄2 acres situated in Nochipatti, Ayothyapattinam Post, Periyagoudnapuram Village, Vazhapadi Taluk, Salem District.

O R D E R

The petitioner seeks for a direction to the second respondent police to accord police protection to the petitioner and his family members to enable them to enjoy the property in Survey No.10/9, 10/10, 15/4E measuring an extent of 10 1⁄2 acres situated in Nochipatti, Ayothyapattinam Post, Periyagoudnapuram Village, Vazhapadi Taluk, Salem District.

2. It is represented by the learned counsel for the petitioner that dead bodies are being carried through the property of the petitioner and when the petitioner objects to it, he is being attacked.

3. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor submits that in respect of this dispute, the Revenue Divisional Officer, Salem is conducting an enquiry and he is trying to bring out an amicable settlement between the parties.

4. Be that as it may, the respondent police shall provide protection to the petitioner and his property against any aggression.

5. With the above direction, this criminal original petition is disposed of.
