Prayer: Writ Petition under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for the issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to consider the petitioner's representation dated 14.03.2026 and consequently, direct the first respondent to provide the copies and information requested in the RTI application dated 24.02.2026 within a time frame to be fixed by this Court. O R D E R

This Writ Petition has been filed to direct the respondents to consider the petitioner's representation dated 14.03.2026 and direct the first respondent to provide the copies and information requested in the RTI application dated 24.02.2026 within a time frame fixed by this Court.

2. The case of the petitioner is that the petitioner's marriage took place in Arulmigu Kalyanasundareswarar (Uthvaganathar) Temple in the year 2012. When the petitioner engaged in collecting and documenting all family records, he found that his original marriage documents were missing and he was not aware with regard to the fact that the documents relating to the marriage were ever collected from the Temple. Hence, the petitioner filed an application under the Right to Information Act, 2005, on 24.02.2026 before the first respondent

seeking marriage registration number and a certified copy of the entry in the marriage register. Since no reply was received, the petitioner sent a detailed representation dated 14.03.2026 to the respondents 2 to 4 requesting to consider his RTI request and provide the necessary marriage details and documents, however, no action was taken. Hence, the present writ petition has been filed.

When the matter is taken up for hearing, the learned counsel appearing for the respondent Nos.1, 2 and 3 submits that information as sought for by the petitioner was furnished vide communication dated 18.04.2026 and also produced a copy of the same before this Court, which is taken on record. 4.Recording the submission made by the learned counsel appearing for the respondent Nos.1 to 3, this Writ Petition is dismissed as infructuous. There shall be no order as to costs.
