ORDER

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed seeking direction to the learned Judicial Magistrate, Thiruvottiyur to conduct trial and disposal the case as earlier as possible in C.C.No.464 of 2021 pending trial before the learned Judicial Magistrate, Thiruvottiyur. 2.It is the contention of the learned counsel for the petitioner that the matter got dragged and the respondent Police are deliberately acting on behalf of the accused without serving summons. Hence, he seeks to dispose of the main case as expeditiously as possible.

3. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate (crl.side) for the first respondent. 2/5

4. On perusal of the docket order, it appears that the case is at the stage of issue of service and the case has been protracted from 08.11.2021 without any valid reasons. Such view of the matter, there shall be a direction to the learned Judicial Magistrate, Thiruvottiyur to expedite the trial and dispose of the main case in C.C.No.464 of 2021 on merits within a period of six months from the date of receipt of a copy of this Order.

5. With the above direction, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of.
