ORDER

By consent of learned counsel on both sides, this writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.

The present writ petition is filed praying for a writ of mandamus to consider the petitioner's representation dated 31.12.2024 to restore the revenue record in the name of the petitioner in respect of land comprised in Survey No.318/16C measuring an extent of 0.06 cents in Namli Sriperumbudur Taluk.

It is submitted by the learned counsel for petitioner that the subject property is a patta land and that he had purchased the subject property from M/s.Seoul Stone Trading Private Limited by virtue of a sale deed dated 19.01.2015, which was registered as Document No.284 of 2015, the petitioner would further submit that the said company had purchased it from one Kalyani, the petitioner would submit that the subject property was a patta property, however, the petitioner came to know from the revenue records that the subject property has been classified as 'Anatheenam' land without any notice. Petitioner therefore submitted a representation on 31.12.2024 before the respondents. Pursuant thereto, the District Collector as well as the RDO, who are 1st and 2nd respondents herein had directed the 3rd respondent namely Tahsildar, Sriperumbudur Taluk to conduct an enquiry and submit a report, however the 2/4

same has not been conducted till date. Aggrieved, the petitioner has come before this Court.

4. Mr.A.Selvendran, learned Special Government Pleader for respondents would submit that the enquiry would be completed by the Tahsildar and appropriate orders would be passed on the above representation within the time stipulated by this Court.

In view thereof, the writ petition stands disposed of with a direction to the appropriate respondent to conduct enquiry and pass appropriate orders on the representation made by the petitioner after affording the petitioner and other interested parties a reasonable opportunity of hearing within a period of 12 weeks from the date of uploading of web copy without waiting for receipt of certified copy. It is made clear that this Court has not expressed any views with regard to the merits of the matter and it is open to the concerned respondent to consider the matter on its own merits and in accordance with law.
