2. The present writ petition is filed praying for a writ of mandamus to consider the petitioner's representation dated 31.12.2024 to restore the revenue record in the name of the petitioner in respect of land comprised in Survey No.318/16C measuring an extent of 0.06 cents in Namli Sriperumbudur Taluk.
3. It is submitted by the learned counsel for petitioner that the subject property is a patta land and that she purchased the subject property from Govinda Naidu, by virtue of a sale deed dated 22.01.1987, which was registered as Document No.238 of 1987. Petitioner would further submit that the subject property was a patta property, however, the petitioner came to know from the revenue records that the subject property has been classified as Anandeenam land without any notice. Petitioner therefore submitted a representation to the Commissioner of Land Administration on 27.04.2022, which was forwarded to the District Collector, Kancheepuram. Thereafter, Tahsildar, Sriperumbudur 2/5
directed the petitioner to submit proof for reclassification. Petitioner had once again made a representation to the Commissioner of Land Administration along with relevant document, however, the same has not been considered till date. The petitioner had thereafter submitted a representation to the respondents on 31.12.2024 requesting restoration of patta in petitioner's name. It is stated that 1st and 2nd respondents herein directed the 3rd respondent namely Tahsildar, Sriperumbudur Taluk to conduct an enquiry and submit a report, however the same has not been conducted till date. Aggrieved, the petitioner has come before this Court.
4. Mr.A.Selvendran, learned Special Government Pleader for respondents would submit that the enquiry would be completed by the Tahsildar and appropriate orders would be passed on the above representation within the time stipulated by this Court.
5. In view thereof, the writ petition stands disposed of with a direction to the appropriate respondent to conduct enquiry and pass appropriate orders on the representation made by the petitioner after affording the petitioner and other interested parties a reasonable opportunity of hearing within a period of 12 weeks from the date of uploading of web copy without waiting for receipt of 3/5
