O R D E R

The Writ Petition has been filed to direct the respondents to consider and pass orders on the representation of the petitioners dated 23.12.2013 within the stipulated time fixed by this Court.

2.The learned counsel for the petitioners would submit that the petitioners, who were employed as contract labourers, submitted their representation to the respondents on 23.12.2013 seeking to regularise their job to the permanent post. So far no orders have been passed by the respondents, the present writ petition is filed before this Court.

3.The learned Standing Counsel appearing for the respondent would submit that the petitioners representation would be considered on merits and pass appropriate orders in accordance with law, if otherwise, eligible.

4.In the light of the above submission and also considering the nature of prayer, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case, this Court is inclined to direct the 2nd respondent to consider the representation of the petitioners dated 23.12.2013 on merits and in accordance with law and pass orders, as expeditiously as possible, preferably within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, after providing opportunity to the petitioners. The writ petition is disposed of, with the above direction. No costs.
