(Order of the Court was made by The Hon'ble Chief Justice) The representation of the petitioner dated 03.01.2013 was for deepening and widening of a pond in S.Nos.66 and 70 situated at Madur Village, Kallakurichi Taluk, Villupuram District, which was originally of size 60 x 100 feet.

2.The counter-affidavit states that there is no pond available in the said survey numbers and only excess storage water would be running through channel to Madur Village. The https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

land area is classified as Odai and thus, there cannot be any question of widening of the pond.

3.In view of the stand of the respondents, this writ petition is dismissed. No costs.
