ORDER

The petitioner, who apprehends arrest at the hands of the respondent Police for the offences punishable under Sections 189(4) and 125 of BNS 2023 r/w 25(1-A) of Arms Act in Crime No.121 of 2026 on the file of the respondent

Police, seeks anticipatory bail.

2. The learned counsel for the petitioner, pleading innocence on the part of the petitioner and false implication in the case, seeks indulgence of this Court. He further submitted that the petitioner is ready to abide by any stringent condition that may be imposed by this court.

3. The case of the prosecution as put forth by the learned Government Advocate(Criminal Side) appearing for the respondent police, opposing for grant of anticipatory bail, is that when the respondent police was in vehicle checkup on 12.03.2026, the petitioners and others followed the car bearing Registration No. TN 12 DA 4693 in two cars and when the respondent police intercepted, the petitioner and others were found to be in possession of deadly weapons and threatening the public. Hence, this case. He further submitted that this is the 2nd bail application for anticipatory bail and the earlier application was dismissed on 26.03.2026. He further submitted that there is no change in circumstances and the investigation is still pending. Hence, he prayed to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner.

4.Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side) appearing for the respondent and perused the materials available on record.

5.Taking note of the facts and circumstances of the case and the submissions made by the learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) to the effect that there is no change of circumstances in the present case and that the investigation is still pending, this Court is of the view that it is not appropriate to grant bail to the petitioner at this stage.

6. Accordingly, this Criminal Original Petition is dismissed. 29-04-2026 SHL To:
