Respondents Prayer: Writ petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying for the issuance of Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents 1 to 4 to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 28.02.2020 seeking permission to run a petty/bunk shop in and around Annamalai Avenue, Sanakiyan Main Road 143 ward 11th Zone Nolambur Union road, Nolambur, Chennai-95 or any other nearby area, enabling the petitioner to make out some earnings to run the petitioner's family.

O R D E R

This writ petition has been filed for the issue of a writ of mandamus directing the respondents to consider the representation made by the petitioner on 28.02.2020 wherein the petitioner has sought for permission to run a bunk shop at Nolambur, Chennai-600 095.

2. Heard Mr.V..Logeswaren, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr.S.N.Parthasarathy, learned Government Advocate appearing on behalf of the respondents 1 and 2 and Mrs.P.T,Ramadevi, learned Standing Counsel appearing on behalf of the respondents 3 and 4.

3. In the considered view of this court, the petitioner will have to approach the Vending Committee and seek for a permission to run a bunk shop. The Corporation cannot grant any such permission and therefore, no directions can be issued by this Court to the Corporation Chennai in this regard. It is open to the petitioner to make a representation to the vending committee and seek for redressal.

4. This Writ Petition is disposed of accordingly. No costs.
