The petitioners herein, who is the accused in C.C.No.54 of 2022 on the file of the District Munsif cum Judicial Magistrate, Madhavaram, is before this Court seeking direction to expedite the trial. 1/4

The learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) appearing for the respondent police submits that date has been fixed for examination of witnesses and summons to LW.1 to LW.4 been issued. The respondent is ready to marshal the witnesses as per the instructions of the Judicial Magistrate.

Taking note of the fact that the offence is of the year 2017 and the matter is pending for long time, the respondent police as well as the Magistrate shall take note of the delay caused so far and complete the trial expeditiously as possible.

With this observation, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of.
