ORDER

Petitioner has come with this writ petition seeking a direction to the Respondents to reinstate him in the post of Driver in the 3rd Respondent Office with time scale of pay and attendant benefits.

2. According to the petitioner, he was appointed as Driver on NMR basis in the third respondent Office on 09.05.2007. As his services were not regularized even after completion of six years of service, on par with similarly placed persons, he made representations to the Respondents. As the same were not considered, having no other alternative, he has come up with this Writ Petition.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that, the petitioner rendered service of more than six years, in spite of which, his services were not regularised, though candidates who have put in two years of service were regularised, as per the proceedings dated 16.04.2013 of the 1st respondent. He pointed out that, the petitioner has also submitted several representations in the above regard, which has evoked no response. Therefore, according to the learned counsel, it would suffice, if the representation already submitted by the petitioner is directed to be disposed of by the Respondents on par with similarly placed persons, within a time frame.

4. Mr.S.Thangavel, learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondents has no serious objection in granting such a direction to the respondents.

5. In view of the fair stand taken by the learned counsel on either side, this court, without going into the merits of the case, directs the petitioner herein to submit a copy of his representation to the respondents within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order and on receipt of the said representation, Respondents are directed to consider the same and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of twelve weeks.

6. With the above directions, the writ petition stands disposed of. No costs.
