Prayer: Writ petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to issue a writ of Mandamus directing the respondents to take appropriate action on the petitioner's representation dated 17.06.2013. For Petitioner :

The petitioner sought for a direction to the respondents to take appropriate action on the petitioner's representation dated 17.06.2013.
2. Learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner has made a representation dated 17.06.2013 to the first respondent, requesting to take action against the officials of the second respondent/Municipality. Since no action has been taken by the first respondent to consider the representation, the petitioner has filed the present writ petition.
3.The learned counsel appearing for the respondents would submit that the appropriate authority to consider the representation would be the Inspector of Police, (Vigilance), Puducherry and if s direction is given to the Inspector of Police (Vigilance), Puducherry, who is the competent authority,the same would be complied with.
4. The Inspector of Police (Vigilance), Puducherry, is suomotu impleaded as a party-respondent namely the third respondent.
5. At this juncture, the learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that he may be given liberty to make a fresh representation to the Inspector of of Police (Vigilance), Puducherry, for the relief.
6. Under such circumstances, the petitioner is permitted to make a fresh representation to the third respondent and on receipt of such representation, the third respondent, is directed to consider the representation on its own merits, within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order and pass orders in accordance with law. With the above directions, this writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
