ORDER

Seeking a direction to the 2nd respondent to provide adequate Police Protection to the petitioner and his family members from danger and threatening in the hands of the accused persons, this petition has been filed by the petitioner.

2. Since the petitioner apprehends threat to his life and liberty from the accused in Crime No.17 of 2017, he had given a complaint to the first respondent on 21.04.2017 seeking for necessary protection. In view of the non-consideration of the complaint, the present Criminal Original Petition came to be filed.

3. The learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the accused in the aforesaid Crime No.17 of 2017 has been https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

continuously threatening him to withdraw the complaint and therefore he has given a request for police protection. In my view, such a consideration is within the domain of the respondent police depending on the ground reality.

4. Hence, there shall be a direction to the second respondent to consider the petitioner's representation seeking for police protection dated 21.04.2017 on its own merits and pass appropriate orders preferably on the same day.

5. With the above observation, the Criminal Original Petition stands disposed of.
