The petitioner has filed the present writ petition to issue a writ of Mandamus to direct the respondents to evict the person viz., Sudharshana Jeer, who is illegally occupying Sri Pesum Perumal Temple premises, Koolamandal, Cheyyar Taluk,

Today, when the matter is taken up for hearing, the Executive Officer/ the fourth respondent has filed a report before this Court by stating that the said Sudharshana Jeer has been evicted from the temple premises last year itself. He would also submit that as on today, the property is in possession of the temple, therefore, nothing survives for further adjudication in the present writ petition.

3. Recording the above statement of the Executive Officer/ the fourth respondent, the writ petition is dismissed as having become infructuous. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is also closed.
