O R D E R

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed to issue direction to the first respondent to transfer of investigation in Cr. No.99 of 2021 on the file of the second respondent police to some other competent agency.

2. The petitioner is the mother of the deceased Srinath. The deceased Srinath is said to have died in a road traffic accident on 29.01.2021. However, a case has been registered in Cr. No.99 of 2021 under Section 174 Cr.P.C. by doubting the death of the deceased. The status report now submitted by the second respondent police would show that the it is a case of accidental death and no other doubtful circumstances is seen to be present in the said occurrence. The vehicle which was involved in the accident was not traced and it is a clear case of 'Hit and Run'. Even the petitioner cannot give any further clues with regard to the death of the deceased.

3. It is alleged that the deceased had love affair and the same may be the cause for death of the deceased. Without any ground materials, it is difficult for the respondent police to conduct the investigation in any other line other than the accident that had taken place on 29.01.2022. In view of 2/4

the same, I feel that the second respondent police should be directed to complete the investigation and file the final report within a specific frame.

Accordingly the Criminal Original Petition is disposed of with a direction to the second respondent police to complete the investigation within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. However, the petitioner is at liberty to provide materials to the investigation officers, in case she gets the same.
