JUDGMENT

(Delivered by Senthilkumar Ramamoorthy, J.) We heard learned counsel for the appellant.

2. The writ petition pertains to issuance of a writ of mandamus to consider the representation dated 01.6.2020 for the https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

post of Chairperson. The appellant's request is for relaxation of the age limit of 65 years.

3. The learned Single Judge concluded that a mandamus will not lie unless there is a legal right and that the matter of granting age relaxation is purely a matter of discretion.

4. We do not find any reason to interfere with the impugned order and the impugned order does not suffer from any infirmity. Accordingly, this appeal stands dismissed.
