The petitioner seeks direction upon second respondent/Police to register his complaint, dated 13.03.2015. 2.
Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Additional Public Prosecutor for the respondent/Police.

It is seen that the petitioner has sent his complaint by post to the Commissioner of Police, Chennai, who is the first respondent herein. Hence, this Criminal Original Petition is closed with liberty to the petitioner to go in person and lodge the same complaint, dated 13.03.2015, before the concerned Station House Officer. On receipt of such complaint, the Station House Officer is directed to investigate into the matter and register a crime, if cognizable offence is made out, by following the dictum laid down by the Hon'ble Apex Court in Lalita Kumari vs. Govt. of U.P. & others reported in [2013 (4) Crimes 243 (SC)].
