Writ petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for issuance of Writ of Mandamus directing the second respondent to allot a bunk shop to the petitioner on the basis of his representation dated 07.02.2012. ORDER
The petitioner has come forward with this writ petition seeking a direction to the 2nd respondent to allot a bunk shop to the petitioner in Chennai City on the basis of his representation dated 07.02.2012.
2. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents and https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/
perused the materials available on record.
3. The learned Government Advocate for the respondents submitted that the Chennai Corporation is the competent authority for issuance of licence to the petitioner. However, the Corporation is not made as a party in this writ petition. It is further submitted that the 2nd respondent has no authority to issue licence as sought for by the petitioner.
4. In the light of the above facts, in my considered opinion, the petitioner is not entitled for the relief as sought for in this writ petition. In the result, the writ petition is dismissed with liberty to the petitioner to give a fresh representation to the competent authority. No costs.
