The Writ Petition has been filed seeking to dispose of the representation dated 09.01.2018 made by the Petitioner for permission to conduct public meeting in view of Commemorate the memorial of Thanthai Periyar from 05.00 pm to 10.00 pm at the venue of Madha Kovil Street Junction, Ambedkar Nagar, Periyakaattupalayam, Cuddalore District on 28.01.2018.

Mr. R. Venkatesh, Learned Government Advocate appearing on behalf of the Respondents submits that the date proposed to conduct the said meeting has already expired.

In view of the same, the Writ Petition is dismissed as infructuous, leaving it open to the Petitioner to apply for permission if he intends to conduct such meeting on a future date. No costs.
