With the consent of both sides, this Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.
2. Seeking a direction to the repondent to dispose of the appeal filed by the petitioner on 07.10.2022 for enhancement of compensation, this writ petition has been filed.
3. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondent and perused the materials placed on record.
4. As against the award passed in respect of the acquisition proceedings initiated for the purpose of acquiring lands for laying National Highways, the petitioner submitted an application on 07.10.2022 before the respondent seeking enhancement of compensation is still pending. Hence, the present Writ Petition.
5. Considering the limited relief sought in this writ petition, the 2/4
respondent is directed to dispose of the petitioner's appeal dated 21.07.2023 and pass appropriate orders on its own merits and in accordance with law, within a period of two months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
