(Order of the Court was made by The Hon'ble Chief Justice) Though the petition was filed under Section 482 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973, it was directed to be converted into a public interest litigation and the matter was taken up to deal with the illegal and wanton quarrying activities in the State. Ideally, the petition should have been renumbered to indicate its altered status.

3. There are other petitions pertaining to illegal mining which have been taken up. Accordingly, the present petition, Crl.O.P.No.33252 of 2014, is closed, since the court is dealing with the same issue in other matters.
